About

The St. Catharines Photographic Club

The history of the St. Catharines Photographic Club goes back to the 1940′s when people gathered with an interest in black and white photography.

In the early 1950′s the St. Catharines Colour Camera Club was started and soon the two clubs evolved into one group which has since continued to meet on a regular basis.

The objectives of the club are to promote, teach and encourage the enjoyment of all forms of photography to both members and the general public.

The club’s activities include membership participation in workshops, photographic outings, and competitions that serve to develop sound photographic skills, enhance advanced techniques and promote self expression in a friendly and fun environment.

The club provides a forum for the sharing of knowledge, ideas and one another’s work as well as access to a network of high quality photographic seminars and competitions at a regional and national level.

The St Catharines Photographic Club meets on the 2nd. and 4th. Tuesdays of the month, from September through April at 7:00pm. at Grantham Mennonite Brethren Church at 469 Grantham Avenue, St. Catharines.

Visitors are welcome any time and you may join the club at any point during the season.
